Criteria for being granted a US Army Aviator badge include rigorous training and proficiency tests as well as 1500 to 3000 flying hours for the more advanced rankings. These badges symbolize a strong resolve to do what must be done to acquire the necessary skills for flight.  The reward is not just this token of accomplishment but to be able to break free from the bonds of gravity and take to the skies.

After each artifact or specimen has been discovered it is sent through a careful restoration process before being used in a design. If a particularly unique patina is found to add design value to an artifact, it's preserved & sealed to ensure its longevity & protection.
