From the early call of a farmhouse rooster, the gentle buzz of a hummingbird that seems almost out of sync with our own temporal space, to the taunting Raven spoken of by author Edgar Allen Poe. The mocking mimic of a pirate’s colorful parrot, the various Venetian bird masks that are worn by participants in Italy’s carnival & of course, the eagle & hawk feathers used in Native American traditional dress, birds are ever present in our lives. Descendant of dinosaurs, birds have ruled the sky for hundreds of millions of years. That’s much longer than we Homo sapiens have even existed. Kinda makes you think, what might they be squawking about as they watch us from their lofty perches…
