~Cubic Zirconia~
Although Cubic zirconia was discovered as a natural mineral in 1937 its manmade production didn't begin until the 1970s. It has been widely used as a diamond replacement holding many diamond-like properties. Crystals usable for faceting were first produced in 1969 but it wasn't until the invention of the skull-melting technique in the USSR that commercial production became possible.
