Shark

What is it about sharks and their teeth that has us so intrigued? Could it be that to know these monsters of the deep is to know the shadow within us? Perhaps if we wear the dagger-like teeth of such a predator then we feel we take on some of its power? Whatever the case, the shark has remained largely unchanged for tens of millions of years do to its amazing success as a predator. These huge fish represent the apex of what it means to be at the top of the food chain and can serve as a symbol of power, protection, and intrigue with the natural world.

Coins

An undeniable symbol of one’s own worth. One of the most valued tangible (nowadays more or less conceptual) items amongst mankind, is money. And why it is so valuable is not because of the item or numerical digit inside our bank account itself- but the countless possibilities it can represent for one’s life. When we relate to the positive associations of the coin, we remember that we hold the necessary tools inside ourselves to build the life of our dreams, to sustain our own lives and those we look after, to treat ourselves kindly, and to even uplift the sense of worth in others with the unspoken words “you deserve this” as we pass these tools along to one another.

Can I resize this item?

If a product page does not have a drop down option for size selections, or if the product description does not state a need for the customer to input their desired size in the notes section of their purchase, then we are NOT able to resize the item. Some exceptions can be made with chain lengths. Please reach out to us at inspire@1888design.com and we will try to accommodate as best we can.

Are your earrings hypoallergenic?

All earring posts are made out of sterling silver, stainless steel, or brass metals unless otherwise stated in the product description. Sterling silver and stainless steel are both hypoallergenic metals. Brass can react differently among different skin types, so we advise knowing your body's tolerance to brass prior to purchasing earrings with brass ear posts. Again, all metals used are stated in each product's description tab.

Can I order this as a gift?

Yes! Please leave us a note at checkout stating that this order is a gift along with the name of the recipient so we can address them properly in the packaging.
