1888 Nate's Take: "The strength of the lion is found within you...and the clever social graces of humanity are found within the lion...we all share our traits in a great vibrant living exchange..."

~Lion~

The traditional Leo totem, the lion is a figure of courage and strength. Legend says that they sleep with open eyes, ready at all times.

Primarily a nocturnal animal the lion is a symbol of authority and command over subconscious thought.

In the realm of spirit animals, the lion wins the prize for the most relentless fighter in the face of life challenges. The presence of this power animal can mean that something “wild” or difficult to control is happening. As such, lions symbolize emotions that are difficult to manage, such as anger or fear.

~Keys / Locks~

Historically, Keys have been used for everything from winding pocket watches to switching on the first two-way radios! The most common symbolic meaning used for the key is its power to unlock the door to the heart, opportunity or adventure. Companies like PF Corbin (known for their beautifully engraved “Carded keys”) or the Tower company (1865 founder John Tower) who was responsible for the first metal handcuff, remind us that the key to life is making sure you have the right tools before approaching opportunity.

 ~Carnelian~

A stone of motivation and endurance, leadership and courage.
