Reimagined Components: This unique and powerful gold-tone vintage Jaguar luggage padlock and matching key hang at either end of this chunky 21'' brass curb chain. The fun aspect of this design is that you must open up the lock with its pairing key in order to open and close the necklace. Simply turn the key in the lock's key hole to open, choose the length in which you desire it to hang, feed the chain ring through the open end of the lock handle and close up the lock to secure. This gives you the ability to choose how long you wish the key to hang, and how tight/loose you want the neck loop to be around you.

The spirit of the jaguar teaches us to face our fears and confront both our enemies and barriers head-on. It evokes authenticity, being honest, frank, raw and real with its approach to others. Mayan cultures believed the jaguar to be the ruler of the Underworld, and carries the ability to cross between worlds. With strong connections to the night, Shamans have been said to associate the patterns of the jaguar’s coat with that of the vivid, starry night sky. When associating the jaguar as a spirit animal, it presents gifts and teachings such as patience, clarity, self-actualization, embracing change, and tapping into your power.
~Keys / Locks~
The right key can unlock the door to a lover’s heart, a new and bright opportunity, a once-in-a-lifetime adventure, a chest of treasure, a deep and dark secret, or even kickstart time itself by the winding of an old grandfather clock…
Historically, companies like PF Corbin (known for their beautifully engraved “Carded keys”) or the Tower company (1865 founder John Tower) who was responsible for the first metal handcuff, can serve as a reminder that there is beauty in having the key to free ourselves, but taking the first step through the door is entirely up to you… One key, one lock… what’s on the other side of the door is infinite possibility.
