One of a Kind

Reimagined Components: This quahog shell was found walking the beach during a shell and fossil hunt in North Carolina. A piece of sea glass and tiger's eye were set into hand-carved pockets and it was threaded onto a 25" strand of real leather.

Components Found in: Wilmington NC, Palos Verde CA & Manhattan Beach CA

~Sea glass~

Sea glass is physically and chemically weathered down bits of glass that are found in bodies of saltwater (differing from beach glass, which is found in freshwater and has a slightly different chemical make-up and appearance). Sea glass takes a minimum of 20 years for the broken shards to naturally tumble and get the smooth, frosted look that it’s known to have, and for some types of glass can take up to 200 years to fully form. These interesting bits of history can come from an array of places such as beach trash, dumping, or accidental over-boards, but we’d love to think that the sea glass we’ve collected comes from an old, treacherous shipwreck that occurred centuries ago somewhere far out at sea…

~Shell~

A shell’s close association with the moon and its tides can serve as a symbol of attracting positive change, especially in the domain of love.

~Tigers Eye~

Tiger's Eye is a stone of protection (especially during travel), stabilization, and grounding.  It enhances integrity, willpower, self-confidence, practicality and correct use of power. It’s a stone that enhances good luck, and brings prosperity, often in the form of money.
