This gold-tone, bright red-eyed Chinese dragon was salvaged from an old keychain found at a flea market. The Gold-tone ring which hangs at the center was salvaged from a broken vintage watch- this component in particular coming from the frame of the watch face. The braided brass rope chain around the neck measures 23'', and the full hanging length to the end of the dragon measures 26.5''.

In many cultures, the dragon's fierce, majestic presence makes it a symbol of virtuous qualities, such as bravery, intelligence, and ambition. Interestingly, Celtic Dragons were thought to be wingless creatures more like giant serpents that carved large lines in the earth. These lines were thought to be heavily charged with energy and may very well be places of ancestral worship because of their heightened electromagnetic energies. The Chinese dragon, also known as loong or long, plays a huge role in Chinese mythology and folklore. They stand as a symbol of strength and good luck, while also having control over water, rainfall, typhoons and floods. With its powerful and mighty attributes, one would hope for themselves or their children to become that of the dragon.
