1888's Take: "The world will change around you and your life will change in more ways than you can think of. It will be a great tidal wave that moves at a snails pace but effortlessly encompasses all that makes up your world. You exist within a great flooding change that also moves within you. This is the water you have been dropped into. This is the nature of you. Resist not." -Nathan

~Buffalo Nickel: 1913 to 1938~

Sculptor James Earle Fraser was commissioned to beautify the US nickel. The result was a stunning depiction of an American bison, a symbol of strength, courage, prosperity, challenge, and survival. The obverse side depicts the profile of a South Western Native American Cheif. It is believed that three different American Indians sat for Fraser while creating his designs. Two were named by Fraser before his death, Chief Iron Tail of the Lakota Sioux and Chief Two Moons of the Cheyenne. He could not recall the name of the third person.

~Keys / Locks~

The right key can unlock the door to a lover’s heart, a new and bright opportunity, a once in a lifetime adventure, a chest of treasure or secrets or even change time itself by the winding of an old grandfather clock…

Historically, Companies like PF Corbin (known for their beautifully engraved “Carded keys”) or the Tower company (1865 founder John Tower) who was responsible for the first metal handcuff, can serve as a reminder that there is beauty in having the key to free ourselves…but taking the first step through the door is entirely up to you…one key one lock…but what’s on the other side of the door is infinite possibility.

~Tipi~

The floor, The earth. The walls The sky. The poles as the connective aspect of who we are that extend from earth to the realm of spirit. The Tipi was not only a place to live but a metaphor for our connection to all around us.

After each artifact or specimen has been discovered it is sent through a careful restoration process before being used in a design. If a particularly unique patina is found to add design value to an artifact, it's preserved & sealed to ensure its longevity & protection.
