This 1888 Design is a:
One of a Kind
Reimagined Components: Antique sterling silver mother of pearl charm with authentic canine tooth and arrow topped with a sterling silver crown, hung on a 24'' soft white leather cord.
1888's Take: It takes a special kind of character to inhabit the role of a strong, respectable leader. One must be grounded, level-headed, much like the nature of the mother of pearl, which brings about harmony and balance within one's mind and emotions. An adequate leader must have the strength to overcome challenging obstacles, especially when providing to those who depend on them, similarly to one who would adorn his neck of self-collected bones and teeth with great pride. And most of all, a true leader must be confident in which direction they are leading their pack, just as every arrow knows exactly where they are headed at the point of release.
~Mother of Pearl~
The iridescent lining of a sea mollusk, it is said to hold strong powers of protection and balance out the emotions. Gaining a heightened sense of intuition, creativity, and adaptability are just a few of this stunning, pale pink nacre's known effects on those who wear it.
~Claws, Teeth, Bones~
The claws, teeth, and bones of wild animals have historically been worn as symbols of prowess & social standing. Deep admiration was given to those who could kill the most fearsome of beasts. It's no longer a necessity for most of us to hunt for our survival, so the wearing of claws, teeth, & bones has become symbolic of overcoming great obstacles despite our fears, and connecting with our inner animal as we charge forth the evolution of the spirit.
An arrow knows where it will land the moment it is let loose. Once the archer releases, there is no second chance. At birth we all begin a journey with our inner arrow guiding the way, so follow your arrow, feel the wind in your hair & enjoy the ride!
