~Tennessee~

Founded in 1796 as the 16th State of the Union.

By the 1850's Nashville was already known as the Athens of the South, having established many higher education institutions as well as being the first Southern City to establish a public school system. It's no wonder the replica Parthenon, built for the Tennessee Centennial Exposition in 1897, was made a permanent landmark in Nashville's Centennial Park.Tennessee is undoubtedly the quintessential center for Country & Blues largely due to the rich musical history of Nashville & Memphis. Musical greats like Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash, Muddy Waters, B.B. King and Dolly Parton have helped to give these cities their much-deserved reputations. One must not forget to mention Nashville's legendary venues like The Grand Ol’ Opry and The Ryman as well as Memphis's Sun Studio.

~Thunderbird~

The thunderbird is a legendary creature in certain North American indigenous peoples' history and culture. It is considered a supernatural bird of power and strength. It is especially important, and frequently depicted, in the art, songs and oral histories of many Pacific Northwest Coast cultures, and is found in various forms among the peoples of the American Southwest, Great Lakes, and Great Plains. Often thought to represent the best aspects of humankind, The Lakota name for the Thunderbird translates to 'sacred winged'. The word 'thunderbird' pays homage to the myth that this noble creature has the ability to create thunder with a flutter of its mighty wings and can influence natural events like rainfall, thunder, and cloud formation. This explains why the Thunderbird is seen as a symbol of Prosperity and Abundance, and the Bird Man dance (which originates from the Mississippian Indians) is a popular ceremony held in honor of the Thunderbird's sacred gifts to the tribe. The Thunderbird is a symbol of Creation. For many tribes, the Thunderbird was a servant of the Great Spirit, the Supreme Being that rules everything in the universe. It is seen as an animal of the Sun, bringing with it new possibilities with each coming dawn.

~Arrow~

An arrow knows where it will land the moment it is let loose. Once the archer releases, there is no second chance. At birth we all begin a journey with our inner arrow guiding the way, so follow your arrow, feel the wind in your hair & enjoy the ride!
